Welcome to Kidbrooke Repair Café. Before we start, please read this short agreement.
About Our Repairs
Repairs at Kidbrooke Repair Café are provided free of charge by skilled volunteers on a best-efforts basis.
By bringing an item for repair, visitors understand and agree to the following.
What Visitors Understand
Kidbrooke Repair Café will take reasonable care of items brought for repair.
- Repairs are provided voluntarily and free of charge.
- Not all items can be repaired.
- A repair may not permanently resolve the fault.
- Electrical repairs involve inherent risks, which volunteers will manage to the best of their ability.
- Some repaired electrical items may require additional safety testing before being returned to regular use.
- Volunteers work within their skills and experience.
- Items brought for repair remain the responsibility of the visitor.
- Visitors should not bring items of significant monetary or sentimental value unless they accept the risk.
- We cannot accept liability for items that are damaged during repair attempts made in good faith.
Ownership
Visitors remain responsible for their items at all times.
Kidbrooke Repair Café does not accept responsibility for:
- Loss of items
- Existing faults
- Failure of an attempted repair
- Future faults after repair
Safety
Volunteers may decline to repair an item if they believe it is unsafe or beyond their capability.
Visitors must follow the instructions and guidance of volunteers at all times.
Donations
Repairs are provided free of charge.
Voluntary donations to support the running of Kidbrooke Repair Café are always welcome.
Review
This agreement will be reviewed periodically.
