Constitution

1. Name

The name of the organisation is:

Kidbrooke Repair Café

2. Purpose

Kidbrooke Repair Café exists to:

• Reduce waste by helping people repair and reuse household items.
• Encourage a culture of repair rather than replacement.
• Share practical skills and knowledge within the community.
• Create opportunities for residents to meet, volunteer and learn together.
• Support sustainability and the circular economy.

3. Activities

To achieve these aims, Kidbrooke Repair Café may:

• Run free repair events.
• Provide repair guidance and demonstrations.
• Organise workshops and skills-sharing sessions.
• Encourage volunteering and community participation.
• Work with local organisations and partners.

4. Status

Kidbrooke Repair Café is a voluntary community initiative currently operating as an unincorporated community group.

The organisation exists for community benefit and does not operate for private profit.

5. Membership

Membership is open to people who support the aims of Kidbrooke Repair Café.

Members may include:

• Volunteers
• Repair specialists

6. Management

The committee will meet as needed to make decisions about the operation of Kidbrooke Repair Café.

Decisions should be recorded where appropriate.

9. Dissolution

10.Conflicts of Interest

Committee members and volunteers should declare any personal interests that could influence decisions involving money, suppliers or partnerships.

11. Review

This constitution will be reviewed periodically as the organisation develops.
